Got the wrong fish

Okay so today went to get some new crab and shrimp to clean my tank and such yea no. And while there i see a cute little starfish

Now from freshwater issues as we have all done i asked how big duh duh and such
And i know he gets big and such i have 2 tanks wasnt worried.

So i get home and decided to watch a video and thats when i relaize i over looked if he is reef safe.

So im new to reefs about half a year ive been going with my tank.

Will this chocolate chip starfish
Eat any corals i have
Its say they eat soft corals but idk if other have different issues. I plan to bring him back tomorrow hes an inch and half big. I messed up wont do that again i usually do a good smount of research but he was so cute *** haha

Yes the chocolate chip stars will eat pretty much all your coral. Take it back ASAP and if you can put it in your sump or an acclimation box.

It might be ok until Tomorrow, but no guarantees you won’t be missing some coral in the am

Arrow crab is cool. Coral banded shrimp, urchins.

Urchins with caution. Pencil urchins are bull dozers. Pin cushion or long spine are good. Will knock over frags tho.

they will go around established ones. But the tiny frags...they just don’t have enough stingers to hurt the big boys. The urchins will Not put their raw exposed under body on nematocysts. No one wants to willingly get stung... but the longer the spines the more area they can push clear.

With urchins, just make sure you frags are glued down is all.
