Great fishing trip

Went deep sea fishing with the family, thought I would show off the results a little...typically i'm a catch and release guy when in shore, but we kept most of what we caught while out. We maxed out on red snapper 3 times with 9 people on the boat (and everyone of them was 23 inches plus)!! Needless to say, im gonna be eating a lot of ca canh cua (fish head soup).

nice little cobia too!! what are the silverish fish on the right?

They called the silver fish on the right Gary fish, im not sure what they were. They had yellow horizontal stripes and had to be caught using light line and tackle.

The cobia was a nice surprise, I also caught an 7-8 lb white trout. Biggest white trout I have ever seen, and didn't expect to see one that far out.

We were fishing about 30 miles south of the southern most tip of Louisiana. I caught the biggest white trout I had ever seen out there...

right on man.... that's all i have been doing the last 4 months.... fishing down on the Colorado river for record size striped bass.... you don't catch many down there but when you do it's a trophy... they range from 10 to 40 pounds "common" and a occasional 50 to 65 pounder comes outta there... it's so addicting haha... lake mead out here you can catch 100 fish in a single day easy but there all small 1 to 3 pounds etc....
