Finally got my first critters! So excited. Now a couple questions. What is the cotton ball thing, is it bad and does it need to go? Second I also got a bristle worm with the same price of live rock. Should it stay or should it go? I don't know that it will live as I have the one fish only and no food source for the worm.

The Green thing is a sponge, it might live if it wasn't exposed to air too long. As for the worm, I would toss it, there are many better options for scavengers..

The rock came home in a bag of water, so it was exposed maybe total of 2 minutes, that's on the high end
