Hey, so yesterday was probably the worst day i've had with my aquarium haha:
-My temp controller crashed (The temp went down to 23.3ºc when it normally should be 24.5ºc-25.0ºc. There's also a chance that for some time the temp was a bit higher than 25ºc.)
-I had a big hair algae bloom
-My ATO also crashed so my salinity was at 1.022 (I normally keep it at 1.025)

Today i managed to get everything under control (I think). I did a water change of 15% (approx), removed must of the hair algae, got the temp back and got the salinity back.

The setup is:
-Display tank of 14 liters
-Sump of 25 liters with Chaeto
(I know, it's weird to have a sump bigger than the display hahaha)

In my tank I have:
-1 Pulsing Xenia
-1 Mushroom coral
-1 Green Star Polyp
-2 Turbo Snails
-1 Chaeto on the sump

Everything has come back perfectly fine EXCEPT FOR THE GREEN STAR POLYP. Right now it's completely closed and the mat is still purple. How much time should I wait for it to come back open? How do I know if it dies?
Thanks!

PS: The first photo is of 3 days ago and the second one is of today.

Generally speaking, I’d say that unless the mat starts to disintegrate, it will bounce back; probably within a week.

Based on my experience, these guys are quite resilient. I’d say give it some time and be patient and try not to move it around or touch it. Just make sure its receiving a good amount of flow in its current location, that certainly helps it open up faster.

Awesome!!
Also, there's a bit of hair algae growing on the mat, I already removed must of it (as you can see on the photo) by sucking it with a syringe and also with flow but there's still some on the mat. Should I be concerned or do something else??
Thanks for the help guys!!

An old tooth brush is good to gently remove algae, but I can’t say if your GSP has been through enough for for right now. You wouldn’t want to tear it or cause it to disintegrated. Again, “gently” is the keyword. Same thing with using a toothbrush on the base of leathers and things like that. :)

Yeah, I thought the same. Maybe I'll wait a few days to the the brush thing and I'll only suck the algae if it gets worst right now. What do you think?
I'll send another pic tomorrow :)
