Hello everyone. I’m new to the site.
I could use some help identifying a type of algae I have? It looks like grass, but is not soft like green hair. It feels more like a stick to touch. Any suggestions on how to get rid of it would be very much appreciated. I’ve turned the big rock upside down to starve it from the light but my mushrooms are going to die in the meantime if I keep it like that.

Can you snap any close up pictures of the algae for better identification?

I have looked through google and thought the same, but none of the pics seemed to look the same.
If so, then I imagine my only options are to get rid of the rock or to use a dremmel tool to shave the rock down? I am not inclined to be grinding rock.

Cladophora herpestica?

Cladophora herpestica?
Those pictures look closest to it, but I have found very little information about it. Could you inform me about it? Is it good/bad? How do I get rid of it if bad?

but I have found very little information about it
Sorry Lisa , I can`t find any info either, all I can find is written in German:(
