Hammer acting strange

So today my hammer had this clear like film/sac coming out of it and honestly really not sure what it is and haven't seen it before. Lately, it's been kinda upset because I'm still trying to get dosing down in this tank as I'm still learning. I also think it's in the process of splitting as it started to pinch in the middle

I'll have to get tank parameters tonight, but when I check last night this is where things were:

pH: 8.2
Ammonia: 0ppm
Nitrite: 0ppm
Nitrates: somewhere between 0-5ppm (API test is so hard to tell)
Calcium: 420
dKh: 8
Mag: 1320

Anybody got any ideas?

I'll try and get better pics when I'm home.

First of all, I believe you should get your nitrates up around 5-10 if you start getting lower it will affect your corals.

I'm going to try and get new test kit and get some Salifert tests because I'm learning API is pretty inaccurate in the lower range.

Yah I have API and got a new test kit for nitrates it works much better and is way more acccurate

Which test kit did you end up getting?

I have used them all, and found Red Sea Pro nitrate is the best at the low ranges were looking for in a reef tank.

I ended up getting the salifert kit which works great for me but Red Sea is also an amazing brand
