Good morning All,

Glad to have found myself here. Looking to upgrade my setup. Currently have a 40 gallon breeder and a 55 gallon. Looking for a 4 foot tank. Have a budget of $1,500.

Any suggestion on what kind of setup

You could probably find at least a reef ready 120 for that price and probably have enough left over to buy materials for a stand. You could then convert the 40B to a sump for the new tank.

I was either looking at the 55 gallon as my sump to a 120 gallon tank. Wanted to get a low iron star fire tank. Any recommendations as to where to buy one. I’m in NYC.

Welcome Joseph to R2R! As dbl said, lots of used tanks on craigslist or through local LFS. Saw a 300 gal on craigslist a couple of days ago for 500.00
