When I was younger we used to go up to Geauga Lake when it was both an amusement park and Sea World. Sea world pulled out but we used to take the kids when they were young to the amusement park.
I think I was like 5 when sea world closed. The park closed when I was in junior high. It closed right before I could really enjoy it. I grew up like 10 minutes from there.

My step brother and his family lived in Twinsburgh by the water tower and had season passes and we would go up multiple times a summer with our kids and go with them.

Donna and Kate are the Best! I try to get everything I can from them, I don’t want them going anywhere. If I call because I need them to order something for me they know my voice, no need to identify myself.
They probably put your name on the phone number is says “ it’s KEV. answer at your own risk “ lol !! 🤣

Nope, there used to be an amusement park right across the lake from SeaWorld called Geauga Lake you could see it from sea world and vice versa. Been there a few times but was at sea world many more times

How’s it going reefers, I’m new here. I go by Drew, I’m from Pittsburgh, and il be starting my first salt water aquarium very soon. Iv had several fresh water tanks over the years, the largest being a 180g planted tank with about 50 red bellies at the start, less by the end lol. I had it for years before I ended up moving and giving it to a friend who wanted it. But I haven’t kept any fish or reptiles for about 10 years now.

I love scuba diving and have several certifications to my name. And have witnessed some incredible things diving mostly around the Bahamas and Virgin Islands, but again I haven’t been diving in years. But I always loved the ocean, which we don’t have in Pittsburgh, so a couple years ago I made this account when I was getting really into the idea of keeping corals. Ultimately I got side tracked and got into motorcycles and warhammer instead (I seem to collect expensive hobbies 😂) Pics below..

But I’m here now, and have committed myself to reefing in 2026 and beyond. I have ordered a Cade 1500 series 2 peninsula. It won’t be shipped till after the holidays and honestly I have no idea when it will arrive yet. But I have ordered about 200lbs worth of Marco rock, some large foundation Marco rocks and a bunch of glue/epoxy/plaster to start scaping the reef in the mean time. I’d love to talk about my aquascape ideas but I noticed there’s another thread for that so il post about it over there at some point. I will also start a thread about the tank and my ideas for that to.

There is so much to absorb when it comes to the salt life. Iv read 4 books, and listen to various podcasts and videos while at work for the past month or so and there can definitely be a bit of information overload. Iv been so consumed by it that I recently started having aquarium related dreams 😅. Anyways, il see you guys around, I plan to stay active and might potentially start posting on various socials like IG/YT to document the whole thing and see where this goes as a fun project.

Meant to be rode hard . He told me a story of 2 guys who brought theirs in to his friends repair shop and asked for tune ups . The tune up was 150 mph down the highway for a while . They were just carboned up .

Hi Drew, where abouts in Pittsburgh are you?
My name is Dawn and I live about 20 miles north of the Burg. I am happy to offer some frags for free. My tank is a mixed reef with easy stuff.
My hubby and I are serious motorcyclist too. In 2023 we rode to Scagway, Alaska and back. We are old so we ride cruisers, mine is a Boulevard. Your bike is beautiful and looks fast.

That would be awesome! And I'm in New Kensington, I work at Iron City Brewery (uncle is the owner). I will be holding off on buying my lights for a while, I'm gonna be getting close to about 10k on this setup and that's without Lights or even a skimmer so for now its going to be a fowler, at least for the first few months while i break the tank in. I'm still deciding ultimately what lights il be going with, and I might need some extra flow at that point to. I kind of want the trifecta of kessil, ecotech, and blades.

I started with a ninja 650 in 2022 which was a perfect starting bike, but left a lot to be desired once I started ripping it up on the highway, my top speed was ~120. Then I got a Tenere 700 and tricked it out with a bunch of mods but I never really got into off roading like I wanted to. And having 2 bikes was just kind of annoying plus i just leaned more sport bike and at this point i really wanted more power. I never thought I would get a Ducati... But man I couldn't keep my eyes off this thing when I saw it at the dealer. I sold the other bikes as down payment and bought some new gear. Put an exhaust on my credit card lol. Exhausts for this bike are not cheap, but it came with a stock tune and kept my warranty and now i got that classic Italian V4 sound and let me tell you this bike is FAST. Unlimited power, it just keeps pulling and never stops. Technically it can go 200+mph and should beat out just about any liter bike but I chicken out way before that. Its a wild ride, and people are always staring at it, it just looks so good lol.

200 on the road should be scary as we both know cant out think what someone is going to do . I'm short so always wanted a CBR. My friend told me to get a motoguzzi but it was like looking at a Volkswagen compared to his rocket. I was on a Ninga and at 60 before I could think still lots of gears left . Fastest and airborne was 100. My friend had us air born on a ramp in Toronto I was hanging on like a cowboy on a bronco . What a rush isn't it ?

Id love to get a dog at some point but i want a house and a yard first... which at this rate is never going to happen lol. But somehow I ended up with a cat and she's pretty awesome and very low maintenance.
Great joke " Someone broke into my house. I pointed a Laser pointer at his head . The Cat did the rest . "

I don't go lane splitting at 100+ you gotta pick and choose your moments. If I got a long straight empty rode in front of me I'm gonna crank that throttle wide open and see how it goes lol.
