I told my wife I wanted to get an ATO set up on the new glass cages tank we have ordered. That may be a huge regret.
She decided to surprise me

I now own a Hydros system
Kraken, Launch, 10X
ATO
leak detectors
Flow meters
Probes
No clue as to how this goes together!

I just wanted a simple ATO

Regrets........Talking out loud

From Equipment wise my biggest regret was the Fluval outerfilter and a Tunze osmolator nano 3152 my fluval almost flooded my living room thanks to the sealing just busting suddenly after half a day of work and then my Tunze after 2 months it stoped refilling water so i pulled the pump out and the small intake busted was a big yikes was for me a lot of money thrown out and the LPS said nah no warrenty for that xD

Getting a 210gal tank, I should have go bigger like maybe to 300gal. The rest is just a blah, whether an equipment or livestock.

My regret was that I kept a no-name skimmer and lighting fixture with my purchase of a used 75g. They both sucked. Took me a few months to figure that out. Also, I regret getting a used tank. It started leaking six months in and I jad to do an emergency tank swap which took me three days. I'll NEVER buy used again.....

A Citron Goby. It was sold to me as reef safe by a LFS that has except for this been pretty good with advice. Turns out it was “reef safe except for Acros”, which in my humble opinion is a pretty enormous caveat… managed to catch it, put it in the sump while I worked out what to do with it, but it found its way into the return pump and next I saw it was brstleworm food. 1/10 purchase, would not buy again.

Copper tests other than the digital HANNA one. The colors are horribly graduated.

A few live sale corals. My lesson from these was, at least for me, to buy in person from an LFS.

A golden coral banded shrimp. I was told that he "might" eat some of my hydroids... He doesn't, and I never see him. He hides 24/7. Every once in a while I will see him out swimming around in the middle of the night if I check with a flashlight. No joy at all with him. In fact, I haven't seen him in a couple weeks, not even sure if he's still alive???

Vortech MP10s, AI Primes, Noopsyche K7 Pro V3s, industry built ATO containers, and anything else still gathering dust in my closet of misfit toys.
