Hi, was in the hobby for about 25 years then took a break. been out of the hobby for over 6 years and just getting back in. Bought the new hello reef 33 gallon AIO (23.5x19.5x18) this past weekend and it’s still in the box…lol. I was noticing on their tanks there is no silicone seam on the inside just between the glass panels. Is this normal and if so I assume it is ok that way. The place I bought it said it is normal for hello reef tanks but wanted to get some other opinions on it before I get it wet. it’s a beautiful tank and love the foot print. I think they just came out, got it at a grand opening my fish store was having, Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

that how mine came in to no worries but the glass is concerned there is no way they would sell it to you expecting you would silicon it yourself

You are fine. Just the way the tank is designed!

I'm a new reefer and I'm thinking about this tank too! What accessories are you using on it (lights, flow, etc.) that you had to buy separately?

A friend of mine now has this tank as I upgraded to a slightly larger tank. It is a great tank though and super easy to maintain, quality is also good, the stand could be a little sturdier but does the job. I used an axis 40 return pump (super quiet and consistent ) I also used a Nero 3 wave maker with it. Axis was set at 100% and Nero was set on random mode with max being 40% I think. It was perfect. I added an in sump uv by ice cap 18 watt that fit perfectly in one of the back chambers and also an IOAOI skimmer that did a great job. The light was a pop bloom rl90 which worked great, To be honest I miss that tank :). To start though you don’t necessarily need the skimmer and uv but can add them later. The skimmer would be my first addition though.

Bought one! Thanks for your in depth set up! I'll probably start with what you listed for the wave maker and light and add the others later one. What is that white box in your picture, though? I don't think I saw that in my box...

Awesome! That’s the AI axis 40. Bought it separately just had it in there so I could keep up with it during the build :).
