Sounds as though you have a wonderful and really smart wife!
Can not wait to see what you do with the new tank. The last one was beautiful!
I was in the same boat as you, out of the hobby for 13 years. Just remember that a lot has changed but the basics will always remain the same. It's just easier the do the basics now with the controllers and lower temps and watt consumption with the LED's and DC-driven pumps, for the most part.
