Hi everybody
I am quite new to keeping saltwater tanks. I started a few months back with a used reefer 170. This Forum looks very cool and friendly and I'm happy to join you :-)

Now I don't know if I should ask my question here or somewhere else in the Forum, you can tell me if I should post it under another segment.

I am very happy with the 170 but I start to notice that more space would be beneficial. (A bigger aquarium never hurts, except your bank account :) ). I have been thinking about a Peninsula tank because I like the idea of having more viewing surface. I was looking into either the Waterbox or the Red Sea ones. I personally think the waterbox is a bit better because you can open the cabinet from both sides and the ATO reservoir isn't on top of the sump (which makes maintenance a bit less convenient I think)
I normally wouldn't upgrade to a larger tank for a couple of more months but I saw someone's post who sells a used red sea peninsula 500 with all Equipment (with orphek atlantik v4), Fish, corals etc... for 2'800$
Would you recommend me going for this one or should I buy a new one? And if so should I go for Waterbox or Red Sea?

Welcome to R2R! Waterbox gets my vote. Seen their tanks at RAP chicago, their build quality and customer service is pretty good :)
