I currently run a 55 gallon standard aquarium with one Viper spectora, 165 W, and I acquired a second one that is used and has the lens removed and I want to add it on to my 55. Should I knock my current settingsdown? Which is 100% blue and 40% whites down to half when adding the second one, and then slowly dial back up and run them both at 50 Percent blue in 20%, white or should I leave the current light The way it is, and just add on the second?

Don't know why you would want to add another, that seems like plenty to me, but you would just slowly ramp up thr light over a month or 2 weeks.
Because my sides are super shaded since the light is center. Leaving coral options minimal since par is only like 10-30 on sides.

DO YOU THINK TECHNOLOGICAL ADVANCEMENTS ARE MORE HELPFUL OR HURTFUL TO REEFING?

  • I think it depends mostly on the technology.
