Thanks! Pink part is circled in above, they are on the base and not in polypCan't see the base or red color you mention? Can you capture this?
Thanks for the reply! I was just concerned if it has something bad happens I can prevent as early as possible as this is home of my colownfish. Will keep observing. Not seeing anything that jumps out as alarming. Coral looks happy and healthy. polyps extended... I would wait it out.
If you start seeing the polyps near the area you are concerned about retracted and the overall health of the piece appears to be declining, repost and maybe we can help out.
Thank you! My alve has also largely changed colors since bought. How long have you been successfully keeping your alves? They look great! My Fading Star Alveopora looks similar... Whitish/pink polyps and tentacles with a nice deep pink base/skin coloring. The green one in front (ironically it was sold as an Ultra Pink Alveopora) has green polyps with purplish tentacles and a brownish red base/skin color. As corals age, they can change colors. Like my buddy @Jedi1199 said it's probably too soon to be concerned. Keep an eye on it and if it stops extending or begins looking worse then start worrying.
The green one is over a year and has tripled in size (or more). The pink one is going on 8 months approximately and has more than doubled.Thank you! My alve has also largely changed colors since bought. How long have you been successfully keeping your alves? They look great!

Green one about a month after addition to the tank
3 weeks later
Middle of August
Pink one - photo from livesale
1 week after addition to the tank (green one in front is different Alveopora that got an infection and died)

Thanks for the advice! I also saw the tentacles loosing the round shape. It is a 10 gallon nano and nutrients are normally NO3 5 and PO4 0. I’ve adjusted light to 70% and see if that would help. This is the position of my alveopora in the tank. Those "lashes" thinning like they have make me concerned. The white could be a problem. What are your nutrients and do you feed any coral foods? They're still extending good... Could be too much light. Mine turned green probably because it wants more light. The other lightened some so it seems to like lower light than the other one.
Would Reef energy plus do the work? The white has me concerned as well, Not many pure white gonis around. And in most cases "white" in regards to a coral usually isnt good. I would do some supplemental feeding with this one and see if its color changes as well.
Got it thanks! This alve has been with me for over 10 months at this position and surprisingly it has built great relationship with the clowns when they host it very gently and never bother it’s polyp extensions. I’ll try to adjust light and nutrients and keep you guys updated. Thanks!Any of the coral foods on the market would suffice, just be aware of any like reef roids that will raise phosphates. Its worth trying for sure, it wont hurt anything.
Hello franklinnadal, I have exactly the same case in my 276l. My alveopore was little gray/pink as yours and then suddenly turns White but It stills opens and raise polyps. Have you success feeding It and lowering your light? Thanks!Got it thanks!
