I got this tricolor acro from a frag swap 2 days ago. It was dipped in CoralsRx for 7 minutes and I did not notice these spots until today. Should I dip the coral again and see if the spots multiply?

Dip the coral and see if something falls off. Post pics if anything falls off the coral. Also, you need to follow instructions on dipping. 7 minutes is not enough.

Good luck.

Unsure based on photo. I've experienced AEFW a few times and coral Rx is the only dip I've used. During the dipping process I use a turkey baster to forcefully blow off the nudis. They're usually not visible until their hold on the coral is broken. That being said, they're very obvious once off the coral.

On the bottle of coralRx it says 5-10 minutes. I will do 10 minutes

Oh and I double the drops per gallon ratio but it's really hard on sps so caution. With double dose half the time.

With my experience using double strength and a turkey baster, actively squirting the entire time, two to three min is enough. This isn't long enough to kill the nudis but long enough for them to let go, which is your goal. Get em off, rinse your acro, and back in the tank in 3 and half min.

Bayer is a stronger solution for AEFW.
But I'm not sure if they are AEFW what you have, it might just be transportation damage from being handled and bagged a few days ago.
Need a better close up pic if you have the possibility to do so.

I dipped all for acros I had (SSC, Red planet, green/burgundy colored one, and the tricolor) and quite a lot of flatworms (they were clearly the flatworms I could tell) came off of the tricolor but none came off the other 3 acros. So only the tricolor was infected. I will watch it closely for the next few days and see if it's polyps come out and if the spots heal.

Thank you so much for the help @McMullen ! [emoji3]

What type of bayer (name)? And what strength? I would like to possibly use it in the future.

Right on! Google AEFW eggs and inspect all of them closely. Use a magnifying glass. You'll know em when you see them too. If and "when" you find them if possible frag off the infected area. I've also sometimes been able to scrape them off and save the infested area.

And I just realized I was calling them nudis.....whoops!

Bayer advanced complete insect killer is what you need to use. I think it calls for 10ml per cup of water. I don't ever measure but add enough to make the water milky looking. Let it sit for 10 minutes then place it in a cup of tank water without three insecticide for 10 minutes. I always rinse it before putting it in the clean water and repeat the rinsing process several times. You don't want a drop of that stuff in your tank I promise. So rinse and put it in new tank water a few times.

I did not find any areas that had what looked like eggs but I scrapped all the areas that had been eaten anyway.

Better safe than sorry![emoji12]
