My floirine was around the same as yours per icp. I used ATI flourine and my next icp was 1.30.
Simple and easy to use.

I’m not sure fluoride dosing is useful, but the math in your question is:

1 mL per 3.5 gallon will get you to 1.3 ppm.

When I brought flourine levels up I noticed my Oregon tort took on a much darker blue. Just sent out another around 2 months later and florine was still in range. Blues still look better but that's very a very subjective observation.
Next icp will be in 6 months so we will see what the levels are with the current level. I am interested to see if the levels fall and any color difference is observed.
I'm not sure it's needed either but I want to see if the system is using it over the next 6 months with no adds and just 5% WC monthly.

My rubidium was inline so I don't need to dose it, lol.

That, and the fact that the consumption is incorporation into depositing calcium carbonate, in place of carbonate, leads me to be skeptical of a benefit.

But there’s also no harm, aside from cost and effort, to maintain natural levels and I’m not saying you should stop.

Thanks. I don't want to blindly dose it like I did with strontium from past results.
Strontium came down from 25 to 16 in 2 months per icp
I am going to just observe the color and see where it falls next icp in 2 months.

I only dose DSR ez-trace. It goes into my ato reservoir. Carx for ca and alk.
I do not feed the corals but I feed my fish heavy

We don’t have that in the states but I ordered KZ’s Trace Element Complex. Hopefully I can achieve the same results!

Randy. The flouride contaminant in calcium carbonate appears to be (would need checking) anywhere between 2 and 4 ppm. Therefore, should it not be possible to calculate a conservative dose (2ppm), per DKH consumed by calcification or precipitation? Perhaps adding it to your 2 part Alk recipes. Dong Zou has been commenting on flouride for a while now (Dosing flouride upto 1ppm, every 2 or 3 days). I'm a tad concerned this may be over the top, tbh. Thanks as always.

Correction Edit - appears the amount of flouride incorporated into calcium carbonate is 1000ppm +- 500ppm.

I expect the amount incorporated is a string function if the amount in the water, with more tending to drive it in. Whether being there is good or bad, that will act as a control help in over or under dosing.

One certainly can do what you suggest, and I expect that is how products such as AFR determine how much fluoride to put in.
