Saw this in my tank the other night. All ocean live rock. Tank has been up for almost a year now. First time seeing this guy. Can't find it anymore.

That is a Limpet. It's a type of snail, you can see the shell in the middle just under the flesh. I'm not sure on species, many will be harmless but some can eat invertebrates and coral so just keep an eye on it when you see it next.

Well I have a few limpets in here and i noticed the shell but never seen the anenome/mushroom on top of them. Kinda thought maybe it was a mushroom that attached to a limpet.

It’s a soft shell limpet , I’ve got a couple. No worries
