Millepora corals are EXTREMELY susceptible to AEFW (acropora eating flatworms.)Po4 around 0.03 to 0.1 . I dont have fish this time is fallow tank because of velvet . I have feed coral 3 time a day with redsea ab+ and reef roid
Almost sps have been 1-2 month some colony have been 3-4 month . Some of wild colony now is turning bright color . But the coral skin look very thin , i think lack of nutrition becaue no3 is Zero . But i have a problem with Millepora acropora . They always get rtn/stn suddenly include polyp extension eventhough my tank have alots of smonth skin ( deep acro ) but never get rtn/stn . I dont know why

I have fallow 2 month already becaus of velvet fish diseases . So can i add more fish in there ? May people said the tank should be fallow 76 dayYou don't have any fish that's the problem. Plus you have a refugium and skimmer . I'd turn off the skimmer and get a few fish .
I only get rnt/stn situation on millepora they suddenly turning rnt evethough the polyp still open strong . Only millepora get like this . From starting new tank i lost 5 pcs of millepora same this situation Millepora corals are EXTREMELY susceptible to AEFW (acropora eating flatworms.)
They are the species AEFW target the most.
I would use a turkey baster and blow it at them. Try to see if any come off.
Or better yet, dip a millepora that has STN in Coral RX and see if any AEFW come off.
. Another kind of acropora dont get like this eventhough i have a lots of sensitive acro like deep water smoth skin

I think it was extreme to stock amount of SPS in the pictures above in a 1-2 month span, but I may take a slower pace than you. STN will likely progress wherever the coral goes since there’s no full proof method to resolving it. I just gave the approach I would take to scale back and pace the progress, that’s all. That’s kind of extreme, don’t you think? Maybe they don’t want soft corals? Selling the corals would not be wise since they’d lose money and the STN would further progress in the new tank.
this is an easy fix if you don’t have a source of ammonia. Frankly i’m surprised you were able to keep any coral alive if you had no fish
you’re underestimating the proven importance of fish wasteI have feed for coral 3 time a day with redsea ab+ and reef roid
His tank is fallow because he had very deadly Marine Velvet. He doesn’t want his tank to be fishless.you’re underestimating the proven importance of fish waste

Fallow is 45 days with temperature at 81F. :)Yes can not risk to put the fish in there eventhough i have lots of fish in qt tank because i have to wait 90 day for sure without velvet marine fish

45 Day Fallow periods
I've been doing some research into the "76 day fallow period". I never heard of that prior to coming to Reef2Reef this past summer. I had always used 32 days as the maximum time for a tomont to remain viable under tropical conditions, and then I would round up to 45 days to help ensure that...www.reef2reef.com
i missed that detail- my badHis tank is fallow because he had very deadly Marine Velvet. He doesn’t want his tank to be fishless.
