I've noticed this on 2 of my rocks, red hair, looks slimey and looks like spots of green hair algae also. What would be the best method to get rid of this stuff?

possible diatom/silicate issue
Lighting in proper par ?
UV sterilizer will help. Is not a cure

Little hard to see, but if it's hair algae the Emerald Crab is a great choice, get 2
Are you using R/O ?
Have a UV light hooked up after the return pump?
Skimmer?
Ok, stop feeding so much, once a day, every other day.
Don't worry, but you need to take action, most any algae growth is a result of over feeding, we all do it.
Next is your water source. Make your own water, but get an R/O, 4-stage, go on-line to (BRS), Bulk Reef Supply. Save money.

I'm using R/O water but it get it from the local reef shop. I mix my own saltwater. I don't have a uv light hooked up. I should have mentioned this but this is in a Biocube 29. I do have a skimmer, biocube version. (Better then nothing right now) I feed once a week maybe twice and I do weekly water changes and target feed some corals with reefroids once a week.
