Just got and installed my eshopps psk-100 hob skimmer. I got it going but my question is...adjusting it?

How far up the collection tube should the bubbles be? Do you have to turn it off to empty the collection cup? What else do I need to know?

I have my water line low in my skimz but in my avast skimmer I had the water line midway on the cone. Yes I would shut it off to empty the cup

I adjust my skimmer to bubble up to 2-3 inches below the lip. Gives it room to pull the gunk out. You'll probably have to play with it for a while to get your sweet spot. You should turn off when cleaning out the collection cup, don't want to put back what you just removed.

I have this skimmer and I keep my water level slightly below the blue lip of the collection cup. This gives me a wetter skim as opposed to a dryer skim. But yours may vary due to bioload.

Also as a side note make sure to have the drainage line,on the side of that collection cup, inside the tank or inside a large enough container to where if that skimmer does overflow it won't cover your floor.(personal experience)

Thank you. Looks like I'll be adjusting this for a few weeks.

And yeah I need to do something with the drainage line...don't want that issue lol
