Help regarding Cyano

Hello! Gonna post here too see if i can get any closer to cure my cyano problems.

I have a 90G SPS dominated mix tank which is quite stocked.

2x Amphiprion ocellaris
1x Nemateleotris magnifica
1x Meiacanthus grammistes
1x Zebrasoma flavescens
1x Paracanthurus hepatus
4x Pseudanthias squamipinnis
1x Salarias ramosus
1x Oxycirrhites typus
1x Pseudocheilinus hexataenia

Im running deltec SC1456 skimmar thats doing a great job. Other filtration is a fuge thats roughly 7% of my total volum thats growing nicely. in the fuge section i have 1L of siporax aswell as some LR rublble, not much. In the tank i have about 70 lbs of LR, its not leeching any PO4.

The circulation is done by two mp40QD running 30% constant at night (2500 gph) during the day it goes from reef crest > nutrient transport > Lagoon mode. all are at 75%

Light comes from two Ecotech radion xr30w pro running their AB+ schedule at 85% intensity starting at 10:00 and ramping until 11:16 and runs at 80% until 20:12 when it ramps down again.

Feeding and dosing consists off:

Aquaforest probiotic salt
Aquaforest A,B,E,V and coral food. (recommended dosage)
I use a 4 stage RO unit with 0 TDS.

The cyano resides mainly on the sandbed. I've tried vaccuming it with little results. Im currently testing some KNO3 dosing to obtain RR and it has had a good impact on my corals and fuge. The cyano on the other hand has gotten way worse.

wow, look at that tank!!!!!!! I wish I had your problems:),
clearly the food regimen is feeding the corals well, but also directly feeding the cyano too.
id cut back on the feedings a bit and get come chato and dragons tongue(diverse nutrient uptake).
you are sooo close to the perfect balance.

Lets hope so! Got some calurpa in the fuge aswell. Other macro algaes are hard to come by in sweden :/

I can only suggest dosing the AF A or amino acid half of your current dosage....

Nice looking tank! I agree, stop "feeding" all corals and do some water changes. You have alot of nice SPS but for a 90 it doesn't look overstocked to where i'd think you need to dose a ton to keep them fed. Try it for awhile and skim heavy and see what happens.

Gonna look for about 5-7 more acro colonies this september along with some acans and a fungia :) So far from fully stocked I guess dosing advices if for fully stocked tanks so i might have overdone it abit :)

oh ps my tank no longer has cyano after the h202 dosing thanks for the help twilliard

I will get some h2o2 tomorrow :) I belive i stated in the first post that chemiclean wiped it afew months ago :)

That test will tell you if you have spirulina or cylindrospermum cyanobacteria
Two different methods of eradication
(Chemiclean only kills spirulina )

Okay, on the swedish forums they say that h2o2 dosing might harm invertebrates, no idea if its any truth in that? Might be wrong but i recall something about it

I have not seen a single invert death besides user error :)
