There isn't one. Couple things to make it more consistent. Use only one vile. Make sure reagent is properly disolved. Look for floating debri. You could turn powerheads off for a few minutes if you are unable to get a clear sample.

That isn't a Hanna product. That is someone pulling one over. Might be clever or might not be? Could it possibly filter phosphates that would skew the readings?

No idea, my value didnt change to much from using the pads. As i previously said, beeing meticulous help alot to get consistancy in the testing

@twilliard hi! Been dosing for 11 days now with little to no results at all. Some cyano has receded and some has started to grow. I redid the test to determen the type of cyano and the water was pink

Should o keep dosing past the 14 days point?

Would it be beneficial to dose competing bacteria (AF pro bio S and np-pro)?

Dont know if active carbon have a negativ impact on the h2o2? I also run a fuge with chaeto, no idea if that has an impact either.

I would increase that dose to 1ml per 8 gallons if no noticeable difference is seen.
The 1ml per 10 gallons is just the starting point as outlined in my thread. This dose is intended to notice any negative reactions within the tank for the first few days.

Sweet! Gonna have to buy another bottle soon since the one i bought just would cut it for the 14 days :p Whats your take on other dosing like aminos and what not during this treatment? Should i start with aminos again or should i wait until its done? Also i asked regarding beneficial bacteria, should i dose them or wait?

I would hold off on amino acids unless you No3 is reading 0 otherwise nothing has to change in the system. If you are running GFO I would take that off line.
You can use any other form of bacteria as cyanobacteria is not linked to other forms introduced or present.

When I start getting cyano on sandbed, I have found that vacuuming the sand during a 30% water change works wonders, especially if followed by lights off for 2-3 days.

So the "last dose" for the 14 day period is going in today. When i started dosing I noticed some progress in the cyano. Now 14 days later the cyano is coping with the h2o2 and seems to be back with a vengence... Im at a make it or break it point at the moment. Im completely lost on what i should do. I tried chemi-clean before my vaccation 4 weeks ago, and now 14 days with h2o2. Neither seem to affect it much.

It has started to show on the rockwork aswell, and thats new for this week.

Any tips before i go boonkers?
