There are quite a few microbes that create bubbles.

Thanks! This is a pretty good article. After viewing the pictures, I'm more open to believing that it could be cyanobacteria. I've dealt with cyano probably hundreds of times but I guess I never encountered BROWN cyano! Lol! Thanks again and especially for the pictures in the article!
