I have seen a few people add some of these 10" Reefbars to their Fluval hoods but I have NO experience with electrical stuff and it's all very confusing trying to figure it out myself. How would I go about adding these to my hood and do I need to wire them, from the looks of it I will. I again have no experience with this but I want a more even distribution of light on my tank without ditching my hood.

Thinking either the 50/50 or all whites (I want all whites for my macro-dominated tank).

I've never heard of these lights, but a quick search on the forums here showed me a number of conversations that might be able to help you.
It doesn't look like you'll need to do any "wiring". Those lights come with the standard push-to-connect DC plugs (in the pic they do). What does stink is it looks like you may need to open wall sockets, since it appears that they have one line for white and one for blue.
