Looks good. Yes dose Aminos. Also, have you checked PAR? I thought I had a lot of light until I tested PAR. My Birdnest's coloring is insane now that I doubled my PAR and dose Reef Fuel and Reef Plus vitamins and Aminos.

I have not used a PAR meter. I thought about seeingnif a lfs might have one for rental. Would to low light also cause a bleaching or pale effect or would it cause more of a browning?

If starving is the problem hopefully adding acropower daily and feeding reefroids twice a week will help. Ialso blast the rocks weekly and let the corals feed on the storm it makes.
Alk is around 8-9 Ca 440 mag 1580 with redsea. Phosphates 0 with the checker and nitrates 0 with apiand redsea. Didnt bother to start the acropower and reefroids at a lower dose, just went straight to the package suggestion in Hope's of boosting nutrients
I noticed once I got my NO3 to stabilize at about 3ppm consistently with everything else in line. Color and growth was a noticble difference. But every tank is different with NO3. If I push it to 10ppm everything starts to look muddy in color if that makes sense. I keep my Alk around 7-8. From what I read higher Alk higher No3 is possible.

Yes low light will cause loss of color. However, I dont think that is your case. Might just be nutrient related. I wouldn't mess with lighting without a PAR meter first.

This is under my birds nest. Lack of light is the reason for the white polyps. I fragged these pieces and they are starting to color up in my FT.
