Help with Chrysophytes

I also am fighting this stuff. I just tested my RODI barrel, my ATO reservoir and the display for silicates. 0 reading on all 3 test. My chrysophytes look eerily like dinos, but scope images show otherwise. I have tried dosing MB7 daily, raising temp to 80, used vibrant (based on another thread), Dr. Tim's Waste Away, peroxide dosing, almost everything but chemiclean and reef flux again. Almost 4 months ago, I used reef flux to kill off some hair algae, and a few weeks later, this stuff showed up. The only thing that helps is siphoning it out when slime gets too long and irritates corals. On a side not, it isn't in the sand bed, only on the rocks from mid level to the top and is very random on locations. ANY suggestions welcome at this point.

Any pics of actual rock with it ? With Chrysophytes, it requires scrubbing with a firm toothbrush or auto detail bbrush in a container of tank water. They thrive best on higher nutrients so monitor Phos and nitrate during the course.
Adding liquid bacteria supplement will also help with control after rock is placed back in tank

I scrub with a tooth rush but can never get the last little bit, kind of like a seed of it. Sounds weird but all the "slime" comes off easy but the spot on the rock doesn't.

That last bit- try dislodging with a turkey baster. If no success, ice pick in the holes or 3% peroxide

Think using the turkey baster with peroxide on the last bit will work?

chrytophytes?

In the last week this stuff has started to pop up and spread through my tank. At first I thought it was Dinos, but under the microscope it doesnt move at all. After further research I think its more likely to be chrytophytes, which unfortunately doesnt seem to have a consistent treatment option...

mine popped up in the last 2 weeks and now is pretty widespread, i had scrubbed the rock that i first noticed it then blasted with a ton of peroxide and 4 days later it looked like it did before I scrubbed.

This stuff is really nasty, some of my goo strands are 3-4 inches long.

I’m battling Chrysophytes as well…at least I think that’s what it is based on this and other threads. I’m 8 months into my first tank. It’s a reefer 525 xl and my rocks are covered in this stuff. I have a lot of clean up crew but the casualty rate on my snails seems to be high. My phosphates are high too (.3) and I’m not sure why because I’m religious about my weekly 10% water changes. Anxious to learn if anyone is finding a successful approach to eradicating this stuff. My corals are still new and small so the golden algea seems to be the main attraction in my sad tank.
