I’m thinking Brooklynella but I would like a 2nd opinion. It came on quick. Lots is fish died. I got fish from a local reefer. Some fish still look fine. I’m going to qt for them to try and save the fish that are left.

Looks like there are signs of fin rot above the tail. That's a good indicator of a bacterial infection. But it could be secondary to Brook as you posted. Did you see skin sloughing off or peeling?

I would vote bacterial infection as well. Brook and velvet are also quick killers, so in these situations it's best just to cover all bases.

Here’s another fish that didn’t make it. I’m trying to get other pictures of the fish that were showing signs.

The picture on this end is really blurry, but it does look like sloughing/peeling skin - am I correct?

Definitely bacterial infection symptom by the fin rot. The question is what's the primary? Have you freshwater dipped the clown to check for flukes? If you dip and there are no flukes then perhaps Brook and the secondary bacterial infection. Can treat both with the "trifecta" of Kanaplex + Furan2 + Metro. Can also give the clown baths in either a formalin product like Hikari's Quick Ich X (45 min.) or an acriflavine product like Ruby Reef Rally (90 min). Make sure to add O2 for both but especially for the formalin bath. Remove fish from the bath at any sign of distress.

The clown didn’t make it. I did fresh water dip another fish and nothing came off. I’m planning to use Fritz quick cure because I read it had the highest concentration of formalin.

Really important to heat and aerate the bowl with the formalin in it. Aerate for at least 30 minutes before placing the fish into the container with the formalin.

Just grow it: Have you ever added CO2 to your reef tank?
