Help with my purple haze monti please!

This monti is been in my tank for a while doing real good and growing fast on the rock. I move my rocks around and put the one with the monti on the bottom thinking it was going to be fine but it seems like is dying or something. and now i cant take it off the rock is on there real tight what can i do to remove it and put it higher were it was. please help i dont want to loose it and i dont know what to do with it or whats wrong with it i think all it is is the lack of lighting Thanks!

I can't remember, anyway mine about a week or 2 ago at night looked like it was spawning or something and the next morning it looked like what yours does.It all healed after a few days but it freaked me out.So I guess this leads me to ask, do montis spawn?

make sure you dont have nudis. they like to hide and will come out and start eating...

Have you done a water change recently? The reason I ask is my friend one time was changing his water and after he siphoned it down he wiped the edges of his tank and I guess some saltcreep fell on alot of stuff without him noticing and he had whitespots every where the next day from the salt landing on them while the water level was down.

looks like the polyps are out , means its bleaching, PHaze is super sensitive and touchy, will brown or bleach just from moving it a few inches. Likes stability, leave it alone and if it keeps going frag it up and hopfully a piece or two will live.

You know i wasnt worry but know its been almost a week and the white areas are getting bigger but cant move it because is on there to stay so i dont know if i should cut around the edges to remove it and if i need to cut how do i do it, and im not sure about the spawning..

where the white spots are can you see anything at all in those spots along the edges mostly. like small white spots? just curios.

I did my water change when i move stuff around about 2 weeks ago and doing another one this weekend i do one 2 times a month....

no i cant see anything in the white spots there just real nice and clean white spots....

Some salt might have got on it when you were moving stuff around and burned it.

If the whitespots are growing I would probally frag it while I had something to frag.Not sure how to get it off the rock because mine when it encrusts is next to inpossible to remove.Salvage what you can and frag away from the white spots so you don't get any infection on the pieces you cut.

you think cutting the edges of the rock to remove it will be fine and then i can move it up...

if you can get the rock cut underneath that would be fine but like others said it is going to get peed off the more you move it.If you do it make sure this is its last move for awhile.Also again if the spots are growing, frag it while you have some nice pieces left.
