Ok, here is an update. I found out that my water suppler is adding chloramine to the water. I installed a new
brs carbon filter that is rated for chloramine since the I bought a few weeks was not rated.for chloramine. . Rinsed carbon filter well by disconnecting membrane housing and going directly into the drain from the carbon housing. I replaced the RO membrane with a new Dow film tec rated at 75 gpd. Plumbed the
brs dual meter to read directly before and after the ro housing. The input is 354 and output is 19. Still below the rated rejection rate of the new membrane.
For a back up, installed my rodi buddy system and with a new di canister it reads zero tds using the same
brs dual probe tds meter after the di section.
I’m beginning to think my
brs system is defective, but I don’t see how it could be. Also, as stated in earlier post…the ro membrane housing is also brand new.
Any advice on how to proceed is really appreciated.
