So my husband went and bout a 130 gallon g tank with everything included. I’m trying to get it set up and I’m stumped on the light. My light on my 60 gallon is an Ai light where I have a preprogrammed light schedule but this one I have no idea if is a good light or can someone help me set it to correct lighting. Here are some photos of the light and tank.
The light says LED intelligent lighting

Ok answered my own question there is a remote if you have it a picture would help
I don't have it. Light could get up to 10 yes old.

Evergrow IT2060...
Most info will probably be found using the above search term.
There are numerous versions and names including the orig. Reefbreeders Photon if I'm not mistaken.

Is that the only marking on it?

Is there not a sticker on the back side (often near where the power cable runs into the housing) with a serial number, voltage info, etc.? Usually that will have some more detail.

FWIW, even LED's have a discrete useful lifespan in reef tanks. When driven at 100%, most will start to lose brightness and spectrum over the course of 2 - 5 years, with that 5-year mark applying generally to the highest-quality lights using high-end diodes.

I have been advised over and over again by my various reefing mentors not to buy used LED lights more than 2 years old unless I had intention on replacing the diodes myself, in which case one shouldn't be paying more than a pittance for them. Usually it's not worth it.

If you do get it working, I'd recommend getting a PAR reading ASAP. If your location is Decatur, Georgia, the Atlanta Reef Club has PAR meters available for supporting members to rent (basically a refundable deposit in case of loss or damage).

It’s a reefbreeders photon or a viparspectra or another rebrand

They are very strong if in good condition. The control is limited. But this was a good fixture several years ago, and many still use them today. It has a built in timer and 2 channels. The white based channel is run much lower than the blue channel.

Like 50-80% blue and then white channel would be 5-20% depending on preference

If the fixture is being run at 100% then it’s under spec for the tank

Any decent fixture, used and spec properly should easily last 8 years
And at that point output begins to decline, but you should have room in the channels to compensate. Example if you always run it at 50% then on year 8 you increase to 60% and year 9 you’re at 70% etc and you can cheat your way to the 10 year mark if you are driving the unit properly for those first 5-8 years

Those lights typically were not run over 50% unless mounted very high. they have high par output and are capapable of 1000+ at the surface when mounted roughly 10” off the tank.

I had a 48” one over my mixed reef and never needed to go above 40% on a channel. I used it 6 years and I have no doubt it could easily cross 10 years

I do recommend getting a par reading to set the levels properly

Evergrow I think is the main brand for them. How many inches long is it?

I cannot find anything at all. Just play with it you can always start over. Just see where menu takes you. and go from there I would not press the OK button until you get a handle on it. I have never seen a piece of equipment without a manual strange sorry

Sunny, cloudy, moon - these are just presets you can save

Manual mode is where you program the timer and the schedule. It’s very easy just go through hour by hour and tell it what each channel should be at each time. You can make a ramp up and ramp down with this. Demonstrated around 4min into the video

Just search forums for viparspectra
Plenty of people both over the years and currently are still using them
