I just started my tank 5 weeks ago and had my water tested and made sure it was ready for fish. I got a clown 3 days ago and he was doing fine. I was cleaning the tank and filter and notice he was twitching. I don't know what's wrong so I tested my levels and everything is perfect. I haven't seen him eat except for he nipped once. I put the food in at night and turn the lights off. When I wake up all the food is gone but it could have just gone in the filter or skimmer. I don't know what's wrong with him please help.

He is marking his territory. Mine does this all the time asserting its dominance over the smaller clown. Don't worry about it he is fine.

Twitching could mean a disease in the gills - flukes or possible an external parasite such as ich, velvet or brook. Notice any tiny white dots or splotches on him?

How is he twitching exactly? In what movements does he make? Is he jolting backwards? Because that's a strong sign of gill flukes.

Sorry. Let's go back to basics.
What size is your thank?
Live rock?
Are you going reef?
Have you put in a cleaning crew?
My reason for asking is, with a system so new, the clown most likely past do to not having a bio load established.

Before adding any more fish I would add A small cleaning crew to start astablishing a bio load. Give a couple of more weeks then tray adding a fish. We all dislike a empty tank, but reefing is patientss and with patients comes success in reefing:)
