So I'm new and I'm freaking out! My pH dropped from a steady 8.2 to 7.4 should I be concerned or do I need to wait this out and let it correct itself?

More oxygen in the tank. Air. surface agitation etc in the short term. A water change to bring the cla/alk up will help too.

Long term refugium kalwasser etc. Ill find the article....

In my opinion. Your tyree toadstool will be a good indicator of how your parameters are. Unless you have acros.
If he is fine, you're fine.

Yes and no mostly no its an API test kit when I get some extra cash I'll be switching to salifert

Hahaha I am in every other parameter. I just know how wonky pH meters are so I've never even thought about it.

Just retested says 7.8 so I'm doing my WC

7.8 with a dKH of 11 means you probably have high CO2 in your house. I will doubt that a water change will help that long-term. While 7.8 is low, there are reefers that routinely run at that pH. Try opening a window to let some fresh air in the house and see what happens.
