Hermit shell with?

One of my hermits has this white (what looks like hair!)
I don’t know what to make of it tbh but should I take it out an isolate it or
Hopefully the photo helps. Regardless the lil dude is going into the 5gallon I have on the side empty but up a running

Take him out and use a toothbrush to take it off then pop him back in

Those are hydroids - it's generally recommended to remove them.
