Please tell me what has lead to your success? How often do you feed if at all? How did you know when it was settled in your tank?

Thanks for the comments. It settled straight away and has been bombproof really. It has never moved but I have always catered for it by putting it on a rock on its own. It's should be mid to halfway up the tank. But I imagine if it was on a flat rock at the bottom of the tank and could not sense anything around it. It would be fine.

It pretty much gets fed every day with the shrimp/squid mix I feed my fish but I never direct feed it. It can destroy a coral in minutes if it stretches out and touches one.

I also think my clowns eat it's poop.

It's under an anti T5 hybrid currently. But lived for over a year vhappily directly under a redion xr15

I would love to see another ritteri from Africa, red base with yellow tentacles. I saw one several years ago and it was stunning. But I haven't seen one like that since really.

I am and you are in luck. That is what my anemone is. Red base yellow tentacles Magnifica from ...... PETCO. Here he was in my Hospital tank, under treatment. The last picture and this picture does not adequately capture his Yellow tentacles.

Ugh, @OrionN I am so jealous! I’ve been looking for a red one ever since I saw Flighty’s red mag 12 years ago. Beautiful find, and from petco of all places!

I am green with envy on some of your anemone, especially your color tipped Magnifica.

So I ordered an H. Magnifica online and I’m worried it’s an H. crispa. What do y’all think? The first one is what I ordered and the second is after acclimation.

Was that from PEA? If so, I was wondering if it was truly a mag or a crispa because it was hard to tell from the picture. It is looking like a crispa from that picture but hard to tell from just that one shot.

Yes, it is. I feel that it is a crispa. The base is more flat than a magnifica and the tentacles are more tapered than I would expect. However, I’ve never had a magnifica. If it is a crispa, I fear I grossly over paid.

I emailed them when they still had this up for sale since it looked a little odd for a magnifica to try and get more pics, No reply. They had 4 heteractis for sale 2 malu and 2 mag. I feel like they were all malu.
