can’t seem to keep hippo fangs alive. Just lost my 3rd one. They eat at lfs, go into my tank, no signs of disease (running copper) will hide in the rocks a few days and eventually find them dead .

Are they that difficult to keep?

What was the copper level when you put the Tang into the tank. It is usually recommended you ramp copper up over 3-4 days. If you are putting them directly into therapeutic levels that may be a reason.
