Went on vacation for two weeks on December 1. 1 day before arriving home I get a notification from ReefBeat that water is low and temp is low.
Miss connecting flight and arrive next day.
When I got home water was cloudy, temp was at 64f and basically everything dead.
As I was in my feeling about it and removing everything. I saw 3 survivors ( blue tang, purple tang and a green chromis) so I’ve been doing water changes every 3 days, (116g tank, 20g water changes), running carbon a

and phosphate remover media in a reactor. And just last night we noticed the blue tang like this. Is it alk burn? Or a disease?

The spots look odd for ich - are they coming and going? How big is the tang - if it's a small one - it could be ich - just difficult to see the relationship size-wise. If it is ich, you would need to treat all of the fish in copper for 30 days and leave your tank fallow

Additionally, what is the purpose of the water changes? Are some of your chemistries off? The water changes are not doing much in all likelihood. In this type of situation, If there is a reason for water changes, just take out the fish and change 100% of the water. My guess is you could gt rid of most damaging chemicals with activated carbon

Pics are fuzzy and too large to be ich however These are mucus cones often from a skin irritation and at times are mixed in with ich and Often you will notice other occupants show no signs but recommended is to remove all fish and treat them as well using coppersafe or copper power for a full 30 days at 2.25ppm which they respond to well and add an air stone and monitor copper level with a reliable Copper Test kit such as Hanna Brand- No API brand. Also monitor Ammonia levels while in quarantine with a reliable test kit and add aeration during treatment using an air stone.

The tang is about 6 inches , I don’t think it’s ich, it doesn’t have spots on him.

The purpose of the water change is to cause all other fish and coral died

OK - then the spots may be mucus plugs - I would carefully observe. Ich tends to go with those, I would watch carefully - and if coming and going on different spots, or multiplying I would consider the copper protocol.

Sorry - I don't understand your second sentence - did you mean the purpose of the water change is because all the other fish and coral died? If so - I would do a couple larger water change - or change all of it at once. Use activated carbon - and measure the usual 'parameters' leaving the tank fallow as mentioned above.

I googled pictures of that, but the tang doesn’t have any spots on it. I’ll get a better picture later today.

It doesn’t have anything on him. Those are just floating particles 😅
I was referring to the white line thing above its eyes
Face and skin erosion often corrected with goid water quality and diet
This fish should get meaty foods such as LRS fish frenzy, plankton, mysis and brine shrimp, formula two and chopped krill
They’re not bc always big on seaweed

That’s either a wound from running into something or the start of head and lateral line erosion (HLLE). For the latter, the lesions will be fairly symmetrical left and right. Wounds tend not to be symmetrical.
