Hitchhiker crab reef safe?

Having a hard time trying to ID this crab. He only comes out at night scavenging the sand bed. Anyone familiar with it? Reef safe?

No idea on the species but rule of thumb is if they have sharp pointy pincers they probably aren't reef safe
 
If it's got claws it's got flaws.

Put a meaty piece of mussel or shrimp in a baby food jar, then place the jar next to a rock.
