1 Canopy frame done and sealed. Second coat of stain applied to the oak trim. Time to relax a bit.

Starting to break down the 240 today.
Well after 6 months I finally found the reason my ICP tests came back with the elevated metals  This is one of the magnets off of my Current USA wave pumps! These are less then a year old so I never thought to look at them. Well thankfully they are all being replaced with the higher power Skimz SS18.0's but still at the price of these it's very disappointing to say the least with all the backing I gave them on here and locally. I highly recommend anyone with the Current USA E-Flux Wave's to pull the rubber and plastic cover off the back of their pumps and check them!!! And yes that is sever rust and oxidation in this picture :mad:

Yea what a night!!! My help no showed so now it’s almost 2am and I just finally got everything back in the tank and have the basic items running. I have my work cut out for me in the morning if I can even move. That 240 was a pain in the caboose to move. I drained all the water, removed all the rock, but left the crushed coral in. I forgot how heavy the tank, plus the 300 lbs of crushed coral substrate is. Hopefully everything and everyone is alright in the morning as I failed to even think about water temp and everything fell down to 72 degrees. I guess I’ll see in the morning. For now all 3 800 watts heaters are on and it’s driving my apex nuts lol.

3 of the 6 ended up being bad. The words that came out of my mouth were not pleasant to say the least. Thankfully the wife and kids were all out and about.

Oh my... any chance to work something out with current usa for some compensation?

Sorry you had the issues with those wave pumps.
@Sarah24! Has had some really great results with Current USA customer service replacing things. Maybe she could offer a few pointers on dealing with them.

Well here’s a photo of the tank in its new home. I had to temporarily reuse the old canopy for the 240 as I failed to get enough Oak for the frame. Guess I’ll work on the next week when it arrives. In the meantime I have plenty other things to do. If @Crabs McJones sees all the temporary wiring mess he would be a Craby Patty!!! LOL my 9 year old said that this morning so I had to pass it on. And yes my 9 year old gets on my iPad and reads build threads as he is determined to have one of his own one day and he saw the wiring posts in @4FordFamily build and he remembered it. I sure wish he had that memory when it came to his chores!!! Lol
Once it’s all said and done I’ll post pictures of the fish room and the tanks. But right now it’s a complete mess as the wife is already moving all my spare parts and boxes in before I even get it all done! I told her I have nowhere to go with it all now as I’m still building, her response was it’s your stuff now find a place! I just looked at the floor and said yes dear. I’m definitely not the smartest guy but I’m not the dumbest either !!!
Lord the 240 looks small side by side!!!

Looks great!! Thanks for updating! Right now the wires aren’t the mess, I need a water change!

@HotRocks has a plan for me. Easy water changes. Glad someone is handy!

I forgot to post a few night pictures as I was unable to get on with the upgrade last night. The Marine Beta and Grouper have made the cave their home and blew all the sand out of it allowing the fuge light to shine up from below making it look like a volcano!
