I’m regretting the Huma Huma, it is the smallest of the present occupants and bits at everything that is in the tank. I just watched him go after the Puffer 4 times its size. He may have to come out if he doesn’t start playing nice!

Tank will be 130" x 36" x 30"
125 gallon tank is being built into a diy refugium/sump
2"x 4" rectangular tube 1/4" wall will be used to build the stand. All metal is being delivered Monday to start cutting and welding hopefully next week if my work schedule allows.

My 75 gallon holding tank has a good start.
The wife has picked almost everything so far.
Here's what we have so far between the holding tank and the reef tank that will move into the new tank.
1 Niger Trigger
1 Huma Picasso Trigger
2 Panther Groupers
1 Green Spot Puffer
1 6 line wrasse
1 Emperor Angel
2 Naso Vlamingii Tangs
1 Snowflake Eel
1 Dwarf Lion
1 Marine Beta
1 Sailfin Tang

This months order plan and QT:
1 Majestic Angel
1 Queen Angel
1 Regal Angel
1 Broomtail Wrasse

I know I'm missing a few and will fill in the wife's wish list as she tells me lol.
This will be our first time ever having the first 3 Angels on our to order list as well as our first eel.

Here is a short video of the 75 gallon holding tank. Please disregard the algae as I was a bad fish keeper and over feed the tank and preformed zero maintenance over the holidays. 40 gallon water change , carbon and GFO media replacement are on the adgenda tomorrow.

Are you building the tank yourself?

No we have not been able to source one.
My Harlequin Tusk will be here this week though.

Oh and the Dog Face Puffer and Panther Grouper are playing Odd Couple. ( Awesome show for those of us old enough to remember it lol )

i picked up some tempered 1/2 24x78 I think that would hold about 580 gal. For the bottom about 12 inches bigger all the way around .
I think some 1 1/2 PVC with a groove routed in to hold glass.

Mine is 1” bottom and 3/4” sides. That’s a lot of pressure on 1/2”.

Sad day on the home front ;Sorry came downstairs and found my 9” and 7 year old Emperor Angel in the corner of the tank dead. He was perfectly fine and eating like his normal self last night. The 3 Tangs, grouper, trigger, and dogface puffer all look good though. Did a round of tests and all look fine. Just heart breaking as that has always been my favorite fish.
No voltage found, ground probe hooked into its own gfci outlet
Alk 9.0 dkh Hanna
Ca 425 ppm Salifert
Mg 1400 ppm Salifert
Nitrate 10 ppm Salifert
Nitrite 0.00 ppm Salifert
PO4 0.02 ppm Hanna
Ammonia 0.0 ppm API
PH 8.2 Apex
Temp 77.8 Apex
Going to run some carbon as the only change I see is my Devils Hand fragged itself again as I have about 5 new chunks on the sand bed. Only thing I can think of is if the devils hand released some toxin while popping off the new babies.

Ok something is up just did my nightly feeding and found my yellow belly dogface puffer dead;Sorry;Sorry;Sorry water tests are still the same as this morning. I do see what looks like lil white bugs moving on him when I pulled him out. I better get the 75 holding tank set back up Incase there is a issue I don’t want to put what’s in the tank now in with the fish in the 100 gallon holding tank and cross contaminate. I’m just at a loss, I’ve never had this kind of issues and everything has been QT’ 30 plus days before going into the new build. Come to think of it the puffer was the only new to me fish in this tank every other fish in the new tank at this point I’ve had for 2 plus years. The only thing new to me presently in the tank is some rock but it was all in totes with water flow for 2 months before being put in the tank with some of my old rock.

Well we have been out of power for 19 hours now from the tornado and the electric company said it will be 2 or 3 days before it's restored. Thankfully a buddy is going to house the corals for me in his SPS dom tank.

Well just lost the last Vlamingii Tang and my Marine Beta. Generator is up and running all 3 systems but I think it’s a little to late. I had my truck running all night to power the return pumps but not having the skimmers and all the wave pumps I think I deprived the tanks of oxygen. Plus not having AC here in the south the temp is rising pretty fast. I just added the last bag of ice to my sump that I could find in 30 miles ;Sorry tank is still at 83 degrees
