Hood autolift

I been looking at ways to raise and lower my hood automatic. Please feel free to share ideas for something simple

I've been looking at Firgelli actuators. Different size's & different fittings available for just about any tank size.

Are you going to be building the motor controller board too? How do you plan to control the motor? Are you lifting the hood or just opening a door? How much weight?

75 pounds. Going to be lifting the whole hood

OK. Take a look at this kit:
http://www.amazon.com/Wiring-Switch...FGA19N0E&dpSrc=sims&dpST=_AC_UL160_SR160,160_

It will give you all of the wiring you need to hook up to an actuator. You need to find one with the stroke length you need. Where are you planning to attach the actuator?
