Reef tank lights come in all different shapes, sizes and brands. Some can produce some very bright lights, while others have many different functions to them. I am wondering, how are you running your lights for your tank, more specifically what kind of lights and the settings for your lights. Curious to see everyone's input!

Biocube 32, stock lights
1:11:00-19:00
2:10:30-19:00
3:07:00-22:00

A few days ago I tried adjusting #2 to 10:00-18:30 and the sunrise/sunset change started growing some algae on the sand so went back to what looked ok prior.

my 75gal im running 2 ai blade grows and 2 ai blade grows. i dont know the time but its just on the default settings. (i hate the blades they get in the way too much)

then for my 80gal (soon to be 90gal w/sump) i run 2 ai primes on brs rec light levels from 630am to 905 pm along with a 100w ncrew that runs for 20 mins shorter than the primes. i do it so i can get a more gradual ramp on the light.

I run Noopsyche K7 V3 Pros on my tanks and use a ramp up/ramp down schedule from 10am to 10pm. I start with blues for two hours, then add white/red/green/uv spectrums for two hours, then peak at preferred % for three hours, then ramp down to blues/white/red/green/uv for two hours, closing with blues only for two hours. I maintain an Excel spreadsheet for varying intensities and keep the same ratio of blues to white/red/green/uv to match my preferred spectrum. PAR/Intensity verified with Apogee MQ510. I started using the @BeanAnimal QR code tool recently and what a time saver this is for making adjustments or an acclimation program.

2x AI Prime 16 HD LEDs with diffusers on 40 gallon tank.
Least imaginative schedule ever.
1 hour ramp-up, 7 hours peak, 3 hour ramp-down,,, no changes to color mix during the schedule:
