I have a Kessil 150 over my 3.7g pico tank. I was curious about how close is to close for acropora. I don't want to burn my coral but I also want it to get enough light to grow. For the last couple days it has sat approx. 8 inches above the coral itself. I moved it today in fear of burning the coral. It is currently sitting about 11 inches above the coral now. Just want to make sure I have everything in the right place. Here is a pic of my tank prior to the light move today.

Are your lights dimmable? Are any of your corals bleaching?

The light is not dimmable. The tips of the acro were white but now that I have raised the light they are not white anymore.

Sounds like you did the right thing. If you get any new corals start them on the sandbed and then gradually move them up to a spot they seem to like.
