How did you choose your profile pic?

One of the things I love most about R2R is how everyone gets to choose their own profile picture.

After a while, as you browse the forums, you start recognizing people more by their profile pic than their username.. until they change it and suddenly you're doing a double take (looking at you, Mr. Crabs!).

I really enjoy seeing the variety - whether it's a stunning fish, a coral you're proud of, a favorite character, or just something that makes you smile. Maybe your pic is of your first successful coral, your dream fish, or there's a funny story behind it.

So let’s hear it, what made you choose your profile picture?

I just wanted something recognizable. I actually used the screen name Reefer Matt on R2R before I had a yt channel. Then after the channel was going for a while, I started to use the yt logo here to let others know I am the same person. But honestly it doesn’t matter much either way, and I have changed it up a few times.

I can see how that would be helpful. It'd be crazy if someone tried to say you were the same person!

Mine is a pom pom crab! And I just love those little guys! I have 2 in my tank.

Prompted a brindle greyhound (my late Good Boy) scientist wearing glasses and a lab coat looking at an aquarium. Best of many attempts, most of which couldn't manage glasses on a greyhound's face!
