I have a 13.5 gallon nano tank and just caught my first aptasia anemone growing right on my GSP coral. I have aptasia X and would like to get it now so more don’t pop up. But I’m worried about killin the coral in doing so. Does anyone have any ideas? H202 bath?

GSP grows quickly-can you just separate off the part with the Aiptasia and throw it out?

I mean it only cost me $20, and the coral itself actually has 3 aptasia anemones on it, but I don’t seem them anywhere else around the coral or the frag rack. Should I just toss the coral and get something new? I’d rather waste $20 than have to deal with an aptasia outbreak

You said it's a new frag - depending on how long you've had it, you could let the vendor know. Sometimes they will give you store credit for the frag since you had to toss it. But it really depends on how long you've had it and how nice the vendor wants to be on eating the cost, etc.

Just my $.02 & probably an unpopular opinion, but aiptasia is my nemesis.

These devils will give you more than $20 worth of headaches, I would toss the frag or put in QT.
