Hello everyone, Happy New Year. I have been noticing this this algae in my tank and not sure what it is and how to get rid of it? Is there anything I can add like CUC to reduce that?
Have attached images
I currently have 2 Florida ceriths and 1 Nassarius snail.
Any advice, help and recommendation would be highly appreciated. Thank you all in advance.

Aside from the CUCs mentioned above, if you start noticing it spreading, you should start to look into the source of the issue - possibly excess nutrients like high nitrates or phosphates. Start to remove by hand as well if it starts spreading to keep it in check.

My nitrates are in check. Nitrates are around 5 ppm and phosphate 0.18 ppm
I plan to remove it by hand as well.

looks like green hair algae. tangs and urchins (tuxedo) eat it. my tiger conchs love to graze on it also
Do you suggest hermits? I have a nano 10 gallon reef. So do you think tiger conchs will be a well suited CUC for this tank?

Phosphates seem high for that level of Nitrates no? Anyway, whenever mine show up, which it has recently, it's time to change the resin in the RODI unit. Mine comes from TDS.

Oh and get a turbo snail.

I get my rodi from the LFS store. Will a turbo snail be too big for a 10 gallon tank ? Should it be Mexican turbo snail?

I'd say phosphates are a bit high for that level of nitrate for sure. Turbos are great too, although they are like bulldozers so just make sure everything is glued well :)
Yea I had bought one but it created a mess with all my frags in the tank. Had to return it. Do you suggest anything else than turbo to mimic the same hair algae eating behavior ?

This is beginning of bryopsis which looks like hair algae but thicker. You must get to it’s roots to stop it.
Clean up crew will not touch this.
Liquid vibrant will rid of it. Other option is fluconasal (flux) and reduce white light intensity a little

It should not but may lower slightly. It takes nutrients from the roots

With all due respect (WADR), Just bc it comes from the LFS doesn't mean no TDS. found out the hard way, and mine didn't pay it forward or rectify my issues when i pointed it out.
