I havent dosed in my tank yet but in a bucket of tank water. Im scared to try it in my tank because im sure itll kill anything algae. However it hasnt killed hair algae after 24 hours. What I used was glyphosate aka Roundup weed killer. I used 5 mls in 5 gallons. Heres the pics, scared to try it in the tank, but thought id share anyway. I may try if they get to plague numbers.
Heres what they looked like before on my new ats screen:

The ingriedent is glyphosate. It kills all plants, and probably would bleach your coral too fwiw. So if you do try it make sure its a fish only. It works by the shikmate pathway or something which inhibits something from

Round-up also has a lot of other stuff that they consider (inert ingredients and not listed on the label) that is extremely toxic to humans/animals. I would not expose this to any type of animal that I cared for IMO.

Yes well said. Im still not willing to try it lol. Originally i wondered if ultra low amounts would kill it and not harm the reef so i dosed 1 ml in 5 gallons. After 12 hours i didn't notice anything so i added another 4 ml.

Im going to try the new ulva macroalgae idea supposedly it has a dino poison, scrubber steve posted.
