How long do you wait?

I have a Goby and Pistol shrimp duo. Yesterday I saw their little cave and Goby was out from per usual. However today I looked and I can’t find the Goby unless he’s reallllllllly far back in that cave, and I do hear the pistol shrimp clicking from under the rock. I hate going in and searching around under rocks because I feel like I’m completely stressing out any of my fish, but I’m worried about this little Goby.

How long should I wait until I start moving around rocks searching for him/worry?

Personally I wouldn't worry about it, today is still very early (in the U.S.). I'll bet it comes out at feeding time later.

Check on your floor. I had mine pair up for about 3 months. One day I didn’t see the shovel loads of gravel coming out. Found the shrimp behind the tank. The goby stopped eating after that. It jumped out about a week later. I put a screen on that tank now.
