So i have been told every other day or like twice a week but i don't know how much to feed when i feed him. I have heard feed until they stop eating? Is that true?
Anyone who has had this species before help would be very much appreciated there wasn't alot of info i could find online for this species.

thanks in advance :)

$80 seems like a good price, not sure how often to feed him but make sure you have a good lid on the tank.
Yeah lol i had a snowflake eel before so i like super sealed the tank then i slapped some hot glue in all the cracks i don't think he can get out but i still check every morning

I've kept a number of eels over the years.

I fed daily. small meals but daily. If I didn't things would disappear.... small fish, shrimp, etc.

Oh ok i wouldnt mind doing that, feeding is the best part :) so you didn't feed till they stop eating? Because that's what i've heard

No, feed small meals daily. Often an eel will overeat because, in the wild, it could be a long time before another meal...

In captivity, over feeding will lead to health issues.

i will try to get some tonight. my tank looks like trash right now tho i had a light break when i was gone for a week and stuff went bad for the corals. Do you have any more advice about this type of eel i really couldn't find much online about Goldentails. I think they have sharp teeth not a pebble tooth??

Golden tail morays are nice, not that common anymore, we used to get them quite a bit where I work, feed him every 2 days is good, they’ll get fat & have issues later if you overfeed. Try frozen shrimp, krill, squid & clam, mix it up. Make sure the food is thawed & of appropriate size, I wouldn’t feed him anymore than 4-5 small pieces, then, as he grows, feed him accordingly. Gymnothorax eels are predators so make sure you don’t house him with small fish, foxface would be fine, good luck
