I’d love to see a video of the flow and fish behavior. FWIW I can only see videos if they’re linked from YouTube.
Heres the youtube video if you cant watch the in app one.Your fish only been in the tank one day, so its hard to say what is normal since its still getting used to your tank. But I don't want to discourage you if you feel there might be an issue, perhaps a short video will help us to confirm. When both are open he just stays at the front of the tank swimming against the pump with his top fin down, not moving anywhere. When I close the 500 he looks much more relaxed, exploring more with his fin up. Is that normal behavior?
I gave it some bloodworms and flakes. Devoured the bloodworms, spat out the flakes, probably just picky, my freshwater fish also spit new flakes out untill they get used to it.In the video, it does look like it is fighting the current. However, like others said, the question is; is the current too strong, or is the fish too weak? For me, the key would be; is the fish feeding well? If its eating, then the current is o.k., but if it isn't feeding, then the current is either too strong, or there is some other issue going on....
The fish looks fine to me.I think im gonna keep the 500 off for a couple days unless you guys suggest otherwise. Im assuming its a bit weak because of the acclimating. I will keep you guys updated.
