- mix to "light tea" color
- dip for 8-10 minutes
*that was always just with dark iodine from the pharmacy
Maybe also state your purpose for iodine dip so others can comment on if it makes sense or maybe better options. *I don't use iodine for just new coral general dip

Lugols seems pretty common (although not what I happen use).

*I dipped (((method I mentioned))) a tiny toadstool that looked pretty bad after ending up laying in the sand in the back of my tank and forgotten for awhile -- it bounced back and looks good now but not sure how much of that was due to the dip vs just getting back into light and flow.
